Hotel and Travel Information

The NMC 51st Annual Meeting will be held at the TradeWinds Island Grand Resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida (Tampa area). This beachfront property is situated on 20 acres and includes seven miles of white sandy beaches along the tranquil Gulf of Mexico. The resort includes five heated swimming pools, two whirlpools, a fitness center, salon and spa services, tennis courts, volleyball, and beach cabanas.

Room rates are $169 single/double (plus applicable state and local taxes). All reservations are subject to availability and should be received by December 20, 2011. Reservations received after the official cut-off date will be based on availability at the hotel's prevailing rates. Your reservation must be guaranteed by one night's deposit or credit card. Check-in time is after 4:00 pm; check-out is prior to 11:00 am.

How to Get There

St. Pete Beach is about 25 miles southwest of Tampa and is served by Tampa International Airport as well as St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport. The hotel is about 30-35 minutes from the Tampa airport. Maps and directions can be found on the NMC meeting website.

Options for transportation to and from the airport are: SuperShuttle ($25 one way), Resort Transportation Services (cost varies depending on group size), or taxi (about $65 one way).

Resort Transportation Services is located onsite at the Island Grand Resort. They offer direct service to and from the hotel without any stops. If there are a several people arriving at the airport at the same time, you may be able to gain cost effectiveness by arranging for a group transport. If you do contact the service, you can indicate that you will be attending the meeting and they might be able to match you up with others arriving at the same time. The service can also arrange for groups to return to the airport at particular times (no additional stops). Note: this service is only cost effective if there is a group.

Once you are at the hotel, Suncoast Beach Trolley service offers transportation to the beach communities from Clearwater to Pass-A-Grille. The trolley stops in front of the hotel.
