National Mastitis Council Committees

NMC Committees and task forces play a major role in NMC’s organization, providing the forum to evaluate issues and make recommendations to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors on issues related to cow mastitis. Committee chairs and members generally are elected for a three-year term and are eligible to serve a maximum of two consecutive terms.

ANNUAL MEETING PROGRAM COMMITTEE

Develops an annual meeting program that delivers current, technically sound information that has a positive impact on mastitis management and milk quality.

MACHINE MILKING COMMITTEE

MEMBERSHIP AND ADVANCEMENT COMMITTEE 

Develops and implements a marketing plan to attract new members, build continuing interest in NMC, and create a clear understanding of the organization and its goals.

MILK QUALITY MONITORING COMMITTEE

Gathers and communicates information on milk quality standards, guidelines, and achievements, and the means used to monitor and measure milk quality.

Prepares a list of eligible nominees for the Board of Directors and Officers for presentation at the annual meeting.

Develops and evaluates mastitis control and milk quality information from a scientific perspective and reviews NMC educational materials for scientific accuracy.
